Pre-Holiday Kitchen Cleansings

I like to do a major Kitchen Cleansing a day or so before our Holidays.

Holidays are very important to me and I like to take the time to get all the crusties out, whether it be cleaning up junk drawers or icky old energy that has no place in our festivities. Yes, I said, icky...lol

Music - I love to put on some music that soothes my soul. This is my favorite. Ringing bells in the kitchen also achieves a nice vibration that can clean out the junk. You could also get out your singing bowls. Sound cleansing is amazing.

Scent - Next, I put a lovely essential oil blend in my diffuser. You can choose a blend that goes with the holiday or boosts your energy and concentration. You can make essential oils sprays to purify the room. You could also put a simmer pot on the stove for a lovely scent-filled kitchen. Burn some sage or other herb.

Starting point - I like to choose one spot in the kitchen and then work my way around the kitchen back to the spot. That way I do not get sidetracked. I go clockwise to stay in the flow.

Cleaners - I either make my own or choose to use an earth-friendly brand. Before you use them, hold them up to your heart and put in good intentions. You can also visualize while you clean to add in some extra magick! I leave nothing untouched. I even clean under and behind appliances. do not forget your doors and windows.

Organizing - I'll be honest, I have a junk drawer. This is a great time to dig through it and do something to free up some space and do away with some clutter. I also decide if there are things that I do not need as I am making my way around the kitchen. These things go into a box in my basement to await our new Blessing Box.

Towels and Cleaning Cloths - I wash and dry them all thoroughly, and neatly put them away.

Floors - I start with a sprinkle of salt and then a good sweep, be sure to sweep clockwise. Open a window or door and focus on sending the old energy on its way. I do the same when I do my mopping. That way I'm sure that lots of fresh energy is in the kitchen because the kitchen has such a large focus on it as we prepare holiday food.

Fill the Space - When you remove icky old energy you need to remember to fill your space back up with fresh loving energy! Hang some lovely new herb bundles. Place some fresh crystals out.

Spend a few minutes visualizing fresh heart energy enveloping the kitchen space.Magickal Barriers - Bless all the openings to your home (doorways, windows, chimney, etc.) with a magickal symbol or sigil written in oil, an essential oils blend, or moon/sun water.Sprinkle salt, black salt, or red brick dust on thresholds. Then call on your ancestors, guides, guardians, gods and goddesses to protect your home from negativity and danger.
You do not have to wait until a holiday comes around, a clean positive home is a happy home. New Moons are a great time for extra cleaning. You will also want to clean your home after any illness, discord, or spiritual intrusion.

Homemade Cleaning Potions

I really like to use January and February, my two slower months, to get ready for the super busy months ahead. This is a great time to DIY cleaning supplies. I like to DIY as much as possible because then I know for a fact what ingredients are being used. I like simple and natural as possible ingredients. Doing this is much safer than using most store cleaners as even though they are "regulated", they still have harmful chemicals in them.

If your life is too hectic and you do not have the time to DIY then I recommend:

Truly Free Home #NotAffiliated On your first order they send you a bottle with refills. After that they just send refills. This is a really great alternative to throwing away so many plastic bottles.

Or Grove Collaborative #AD #Referral Get a FREE gift set with purchase.

They have cleaning products that are made much healthier than the junk at the stores. They also have products that have recyclable packaging and refills for less waste.

Spring Equinox Deep Cleaning Routine

I like to schedule the first Deep Cleaning a week before Equinox. That way I know that my home is thoroughly clean for both the Holiday and the Spring/Summer Seasons.

I do the same as my Kitchen Cleansing, but I do it in each room of my house, the basement, the porches, and my vehicles.

I start out with my List, make sure I have everything I need, and then I'm off to my starting point.

As I go, I make a list of anything that needs to be fixed.

I use essential oils in my diffuser that are more "Springy" smelling.

This article is still under construction.
