Finding Simple Pleasures in the Seasons
Winter
- make a Snow Family, build a snow fort, throw snowballs, go sledding/skiing/snowshoeing/ice skating
- bundle up and sit on the porch with your coffee or tea
- go for a long walk in your neighborhood

Winter Colors are relaxing.
- wear white, greys, browns, and light blue (these are my personal winter colors)
Midwinter/Imbolc Colors: white, gold, silver, light green, soft pink, pale yellow, and pastel colors
- layer your clothes with Winter colors
- thrift a cozy sweater or blanket
- paint your nails in Winter shades
- light Winter colored candles
- do your makeup in shades of Winter
Enjoy the Tastes of Winter:
- make Winter comfort foods: homemade bread, roasted veggies and meat, soups, chowders, stews, shepherd's pie, chili, meat pies, lasagna, stuffed squash, escalloped potatoes, au gratin, ziti, casseroles, stroganoff, fondue, and more
- bake treats
- enjoy a cup of hot cocoa, coffee, or tea with a friend
- try a new Winter recipe with a loved one
- Winter is when we use the stored dried fruits, root veggies, canned goods, and fermented foods that we preserved in the Fall from Harvest
