I am diabetic, I did my research, this is what works best for me:


These are my Healthy Habit Goals. Like anyone else, I am not perfect, and at times you will see that on my Real and Raw Journal Series.

Intermittent Fasting (IF): 18/6

5 Days a Week: simple veggie/meat meals

2 Days a Week: add starchy veggie carbs in

100 oz or more liquids per day

Getting out to walk and hike as much as possible.


NO:

GMO food - strive for all Organic and Non-GMO

Wheat, Corn, Soy Products

White Sugar, Artificial Sweeteners, High Fructose Corn Syrup

Alcohol, Soda/Pop, Energy Drinks

Hydrogenated Vegetable Oils, Margarine

Processed Foods, MSG, Artificial Ingredients

Fruit Juice, Dried Fruit - because I am diabetic

VERY LIMITED:

Starchy/Sweet Veggies

Cassava Flour, Almond Flour, Coconut Flour, Tapioca, Arrowroot - any alternative flours

Fruit

Sweeteners: Stevia, Monk Fruit, Raw Honey, Real Maple Syrup

YES:

Non-Starchy Veggies

Nuts and Seeds, Nut Butters, Unsweetened Nut Milks

Grass-fed/Grass-finished Meat and butter

Organic fed, Pastured Poultry and Eggs

Healthy Fats
